There is no shortage of things to do in Savannah, GA. Whether you want to check out City Market, take a stroll through Forsyth Park or down River Street, go shopping on Broughton Street or at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Pooler, or feel the sand in your toes on Tybee Island.
Savannah, GA, may be known for its classic southern cuisine, like shrimp and grits, fried chicken or mouthwatering barbeque, but the city is scattered with international fare. In addition, several hidden gems making downtown Savannah a foodie’s paradise. Here are a few of our favorite restaurants in Savannah, Pooler and Tybee.
The distinct charm of Savannah makes it difficult for visitors to leave. Luckily, with all of the shops around the area, you can take a piece of Savannah with you! There are a handful of shopping areas throughout Savannah and the surrounding areas, which guarantees you’ll find something you love.
In Pooler, there are great shops and eateries at The Village on Pooler Parkway as well as the new premium Tanger Outlet Mall that houses over 100 stores, including Coach, Jos. A. Bank, Nike Factory Store, Michael Kors, H&M, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, LOFT, and many more.
Savannah is comprised of several areas that boast exquisite shopping from small boutiques to high-end designers. Some of the most common shopping locations include Broughton Street, City Market, River Street, Oglethorpe Mall, Wright Square, Sandfly, Shop SCAD and Abercorn Walk.
Tybee is home to quaint stores and surf shops. Right as you arrive on the island, Tybee Oaks offers a few shops like Latitude 32 and Seaside Sisters. As you travel down Butler Ave., you will come up on a variety of stores and surf shops that will have anything you need, especially if you forgot your sunscreen!
As you walk through downtown Savannah, the draping live oaks and cobblestone walkways tell a historic story about the Hostess City. The antebellum architecture, museums, monuments, historic landmarks and more highlight Savannah’s history in the best way. You can take it all in through trolley tours with Old Savannah Tours, carriage tours, walking tours or segway tours. In addition to the historic attractions, Savannah is packed with attractions for the sport or adventure-minded, those interested in theater, and those focused on family-friendly fun.
